Hello,
The Blues Festival in Mont-Tremblant has come and gone for another year. I’ve been terrible at writing blogs this month – sorry about that!
We’ve all heard the expression, don’t judge a book by it’s cover or a wine by it’s label, well here in Mont-Tremblant, I learned you can’t just a woman by her outfit.
At a concert one night there was a very conservative looking woman (I don’t have a picture because I hate carrying a camera (another post coming on that topic) but I will try to describe the look, think of this as a book. She had medium length, thick dark hair which had been pulled tightly back into a pony tale which was adorned with a pink silk flower, one of those whispy petal flowers that are big and full. She wore big wire rimmed glasses, the type you think of when you picture a stereotypical librarian. She was wearing a matching pink flowing top with white casual pants that had been rolled up a couple of time to make them capri length. On her feet were those velcro sandals that you often see men wearing with socks! Okay so now hopefully you have a mental picture in your mind. Do you imagine this women screaming out “Far out with the Fender guitar” and whooo hoooing all night long while waving her arms in the air?
My husband and I watched her all night with smiles on our faces, yes we found it a little funny, but more than that we took great pleasure in her taking so much pleasure in the music. She actually added to our experience at the concert. She has a great attitude and was enjoying her every minute of the concert.
So I say, “far out blueswoman with the pink silk flower hair, far out!”
